Meursault 1er Cru les Charmes is the largest of the 1er crus in surface area. It has a great deal of richness, depth and is very typical of Meursault.

Terroir : les Charmes is on crumbly, rocky subsoil. The parcel is composed of approximately 40% clay, 40% silt and fine sand and 20% course sand. These conditions are the most favourable to the production of great white wines.
Character : This is a wine with an expressive nose marked with aromas of almonds and hazelnuts with a vegetal, floral and mineral background. On the palate, it is rich and balanced with similar aromas as those of the nose. It exhibits lovely freshness. The wine is attractive, powerful, long and structured. It is a Grand Blanc de Garde.
Ageing Potential : 5 to 6 years
Service Temperature : 11 - 13 °C
Pairings : Serve with fish or shellfish such as lobster as well as certain white meats. With age, it could be served with foie gras.
